a great life.....

Sarah and I are lying here on the futon, enjoying our quiet Sunday night. It has been a great day - I went in to work for a while this morning, then came home and set up my new tent with Mandy. It is huge and so awesome! After eating dinner at Trudy's tonight, Sarah and I came home and got in it with Milo. At first he was afraid to get in it but once we picked him up and put him inside, he loved it! In fact we had a great time calling him back repeatedly just so we could watch him "mighty dog" back through the tent door. We have decided a camping trip is in the near future and look forward to introducing our little dingo to nature. The tent even has a pet den! Travis held court in the kitchen window watching the whole time. I wonder what he thought?

I love this life with Sarah and being married is more than I ever dreamed it could be.

Family Ties

Amanda's baby shower was yesterday, and I must say that there's nothing quite like watching your little sister go into nesting mode. The girl is flying home to NY tomorrow with a suitcase filled with blankets, the cutest onesies you've ever seen and all sorts of mommy to be STUFF. Can't say I'm ready to take that leap just yet, but as she and I sat at Central Market today taking in the Austin sunshine and watching children romp around the playground I got that familiar feeling of anticipation. I look forward to sharing that with Stacy, and I can't wait to see how amazing she'll be at motherhood. I hope we'll be those cool parents who don't fuss too much and just let our children be the little people they're supposed to be.
